A4 Health Systems is committed to community
involvement and changing people's lives for the
better through an investment of financial resources,
employee volunteer hours and community leadership.
In January, A4 employees raised
a substantial amount of money for the Cary, NC
chapter of the Muscular Dystrophy Association to
help those with the debilitating neuromuscular
disease. A4 is proud to be the largest
fundraiser for the local chapter.
A4 employees donated to the Food
Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina to
provide 2,227 meals to those in need.
A4 employees donated $30,000 to the
American Red Cross to help those devastated by
A4 aided in the Tsunami relief by
participating in Project Life Boat to provide
in India with boats. A4 employees
contributed $50,000 to build a fleet of 12.5
boats in the
December 2005 -- Employees of A4 donated 38 pints of blood to the American Red Cross.
September 2005 -- 50 A4 employees donated
blood to help the victims of Hurricane Katrina.
May 2005 -- more than 46 A4 employees
contributed to surpass the American Red Cross'
goal by 140%.
2004 -- A4 participated in a blood
drive with the American Red Cross with a goal
40 units of blood. There was high interest from
staff in donating blood during the holiday season.
May 2005 -- A4 employees participated
for the 8th year in the American Cancer Society
to raise funds for cancer research.
-- A4 employees participated
in the 7th annual American Cancer Society
raising more than $2500.
November 2004 -- A4 participated in
its second American Heart Association (AHA) walk
funds for research and support of those afflicted
with the number one killer in America, heart related
diseases. A4 raised more than $11,900
for the walk with 14 participating walkers.
